1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using My Line Reader ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. Description of Service

My Line Reader is an AI-powered script rehearsal platform that enables actors to:

  • Upload and parse theatrical scripts in PDF or text format
  • Practice scenes with AI-generated voice partners using text-to-speech technology
  • Select from multiple voice options powered by third-party AI services
  • Track practice sessions and usage analytics

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Important: This Service utilizes artificial intelligence and text-to-speech (TTS) technology to generate synthetic voice content. Users acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-Generated Voices: All voice outputs are computer-generated simulations created by third-party AI services (including but not limited to ElevenLabs and Google AI). These voices do not represent real human performances.
  • No Performance Rights: AI-generated voices are provided solely for practice and rehearsal purposes. They do not constitute professional voice acting services and should not be used in commercial productions, public performances, or distributed recordings without appropriate licensing.
  • Accuracy and Quality: While we strive to provide high-quality AI voice synthesis, we make no guarantees regarding pronunciation accuracy, emotional delivery, accent authenticity, or artistic interpretation. AI voices may mispronounce words, misinterpret context, or deliver lines inappropriately.
  • Not a Substitute: AI-generated rehearsal partners are tools to assist in practice and should not be considered substitutes for working with human actors, directors, or voice coaches.

4. User Accounts and Subscription

4.1 Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

4.2 Subscription Tiers

My Line Reader offers three subscription tiers:

  • Free Tier: Limited script uploads per month with standard features
  • Actor Tier ($19/month or $152/year): Increased script limits and standard voice options
  • Professional Tier ($49/month or $392/year): Unlimited scripts and premium voice options

4.3 Billing and Payment

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay, a licensed payment gateway regulated by the Reserve Bank of India.

International Payments: We accept payments from users worldwide, including the United States. By subscribing, you acknowledge that:

  • Payments will be processed in Indian Rupees (INR) or your local currency as supported by Razorpay
  • Currency conversion fees may apply based on your bank or payment provider
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee and any applicable taxes
  • International transaction fees or foreign exchange charges are the responsibility of the subscriber

Payment Methods: Razorpay supports credit cards, debit cards, net banking, UPI, and international cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). All payment information is handled securely by Razorpay and is subject to their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

4.4 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

4.5 Refund Policy

General Policy: Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, we offer refunds in the following circumstances:

  • Technical Issues: If you experience a service outage or technical problem that prevents you from using the Service for more than 48 consecutive hours, you may request a prorated refund for the affected period.
  • Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to a system error, we will refund the erroneous charge within 7-10 business days.
  • 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: First-time subscribers may request a full refund within 14 days of their initial subscription purchase if they are not satisfied with the Service.
  • Legal Requirements: Refunds required by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

Refund Process: To request a refund, contact us at support@mylinereader.ai with your account details and reason for refund. Approved refunds are processed through Razorpay and typically take 5-10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Cancellations: If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for early cancellations unless eligible under the conditions above.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to use (copyrighted scripts without permission)
  • Generate voice content that violates third-party rights or applicable laws
  • Create deepfakes, impersonations, or misleading audio content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Distribute malware or engage in any malicious activity
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models used by the Service
  • Exceed usage limits or abuse the Service through automated scraping or excessive API calls

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of scripts and content you upload. By uploading content, you grant My Line Reader a limited license to process, parse, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6.2 AI-Generated Content

AI-generated voice outputs are created dynamically and are not stored permanently by the Service. You acknowledge that AI-generated content may not be copyrightable and that ownership rights are subject to applicable AI and copyright laws in your jurisdiction.

6.3 Service Content

The Service itself, including its software, design, text, graphics, and other content (excluding user-uploaded content), is owned by My Line Reader and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party AI providers (including ElevenLabs, Google Gemini, and others) to deliver text-to-speech and script parsing functionality. Your use of these features is also subject to the terms of service and privacy policies of these third-party providers.

8. Data Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MY LINE READER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

11. Compliance with Indian Law

This Service complies with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. Users in India acknowledge their rights under these regulations.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
